How Petrosino Paved The Way: Italian Americans in Law Enforcement
On display, March 19 – April 9, 2026.
Exhibit honoring the legacy and memory of Joseph Petrosino, an Italian immigrant who became the first Italian American to become a Lieutenant Detective in the New York City Police Department. He also set an example for future NYPD notables such as Det. Frank Serpico and Det. Georgianna Dibs DeRosa.
